Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival & Welcome to Fes Your Moroccan adventure begins upon your arrival at Fes-Saïss Airport. Your driver will greet you and transfer you to your charming riad in the heart of the ancient medina. Depending on your arrival time, you can settle in and perhaps take a short introductory stroll to get a feel for this historic city.

Day 2: Guided Tour of Fes After breakfast, you will meet your expert local guide for a full-day tour of Fes. You’ll dive deep into the world’s largest living medieval medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The tour includes visits to the iconic Chouara Tannery, the University of Al Quaraouiyine (the oldest in the world), the stunning Bou Inania Medersa, the Royal Palace gate, and the city’s famous Blue Gate (Bab Boujloud).

Day 3: Fes → Middle Atlas → Ziz Valley → Merzouga Desert We depart Fes early, heading south into the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains. We’ll stop in Ifrane, the “Switzerland of Morocco,” and the nearby cedar forests to see the wild Barbary macaques. After lunch in Midelt, our journey continues through the vast and beautiful Ziz Valley. In the late afternoon, we reach the edge of the Sahara at Merzouga, where you’ll embark on a camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes to witness a spectacular sunset and spend the night at a desert camp.

Day 4: Merzouga → Rissani → Todra Gorges → Dades Valley Waking up to a desert sunrise is a must. After breakfast, you will travel from the dunes to Rissani, the ancient market town, before heading to the Todra Gorges. Here, you can walk between the immense, sheer canyon walls. The journey continues along the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs” to the picturesque Dades Valley, known for its dramatic rock formations and beautiful scenery, where we’ll spend the night.

Day 5: Dades Valley → Ouarzazate → Ait Ben Haddou → Marrakesh After breakfast, our journey continues towards Marrakesh. We travel through the Roses Valley and Skoura’s palm groves to Ouarzazate, the hub of Morocco’s film industry. The day’s major highlight is a visit to the legendary Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a fortified village and UNESCO World Heritage site. Finally, we make the dramatic crossing of the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi-n-Tichka pass, descending into Marrakesh, where you’ll be dropped off at your riad.

Day 6: Guided Tour of Marrakesh Today is dedicated to exploring the vibrant “Red City.” With your local guide, you will discover the rich history of Marrakesh by visiting the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, the Koutoubia Mosque, and the tranquil Majorelle Garden. You’ll also navigate the labyrinthine souks and experience the incredible energy of Djemaa el-Fna square, a hub of storytellers, musicians, and performers.

Day 7: Departure from Marrakesh After a final breakfast in Marrakesh, your tour concludes. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some free time for last-minute souvenir shopping before your driver transfers you to Marrakesh-Menara Airport for your departure.
