Your Ourika Valley adventure begins with a pick-up from your hotel or Riad in Marrakesh at 9:00 AM. We’ll then set off on the short drive towards the magnificent Atlas Mountains.
Our journey takes us along the scenic Ourika Valley, following the stream and passing through a series of successive mountain villages. We will make several stops along the way to allow you to capture photos of the wonderful landscapes, from lush green valleys to the snow-capped peaks of the High Atlas in the distance. Along the way, we’ll have the opportunity to visit a local Berber market in the village of Tnin Ourika, a vibrant hub of regional trade.
We will also visit a local Argan oil cooperative, where you can see how local women use traditional techniques to produce the precious “liquid gold” and learn about its many benefits.
Our main destination is the village of Setti Fatma, the last stop on the paved road. From here, you will enjoy a short guided hike up into the mountains to discover the beautiful waterfalls. The area is known for its refreshing natural pools where you can take a dip, and the trail offers breathtaking views of the surrounding valley.
After your hike, you can treat yourself to a delicious lunch. Choose a picturesque local restaurant and enjoy a traditional Berber Tagine right next to the stream, with the sounds of the mountains around you.
Your memorable day trip to the Atlas Mountains concludes in the late afternoon with a comfortable drive back to Marrakesh, where we will drop you off at your hotel.
