Your day trip begins with a pick-up from your accommodation in Marrakesh at 8:00 AM. We will then set off on a 3-hour drive, heading north through the breathtaking landscapes of the Atlas Mountains towards the village of Tanaghmeilt, where the falls are located. As we get closer, we will pass through vast fields of olive trees, and you’ll soon catch your first spectacular glimpse of the waterfalls from a distance.
Upon arrival at Ouzoud Falls, you’ll have the day to explore this natural wonder at your own pace. Well-maintained walking paths lead from the top of the falls down to the water streams below, offering various stunning viewpoints along the way.
For the adventurous, you can go for a swim in the refreshing natural swimming pools at the base of the cascades. You might even see some brave locals jumping from the high cliffs into the water below.
After a pleasant morning of exploration, you’ll have free time to enjoy a delicious Moroccan lunch at your leisure. There are several local cafes and restaurants nestled near the falls, offering a meal with an incredible view.
Later, as you make your way back to the top of the falls, you will likely come across families of Barbary macaque monkeys who are accustomed to visitors and will welcome you in their own playful way!
Finally, your memorable day trip to the Ouzoud Waterfalls will conclude as we begin the return journey to Marrakesh. Your driver will drop you off at your hotel or Riad in the late afternoon.
