Detailed Itinerary:

Your day trip begins with a pick-up from your hotel or Riad in Marrakesh at 8:30 AM. We’ll set off on a scenic drive across the Haouz plains towards the village of Chichaoua, where we can stop for a cup of coffee.

As we continue, our journey takes us through a unique forest of Argan trees. Here, you’ll have the chance to spot and photograph the famous local goats that climb high into the Argan branches to feed. We will also visit a local women’s cooperative to see the traditional techniques used to produce precious Argan oil.

Upon arrival in Essaouira, our first stop is the bustling harbor. You’ll see the fleet of traditional blue fishing boats and the impressive old Portuguese fortifications, where medieval war cannons still stand guard, overlooking the Atlantic.

From there, we will explore the Medina (old city), a UNESCO World Heritage site with remarkably preserved 18th-century walls. A major landmark is La Scala, a bastion built to defend against sea attacks. We will continue our walk to Bab Laalouj, one of the main city gates, and then to the Mellah, the old Jewish quarter. As you wander, you’ll discover a multitude of art shops, galleries, and craft shops specializing in local Thuya wood.

For lunch, you’ll have the choice of dining on delicious, freshly caught seafood at the lively harbor stalls or at a charming local cafe within the Medina.

After lunch, we’ll visit a historic Kasbah that once served as a military bastion. For those who love the sea, the tour offers free time to enjoy a peaceful walk along the expansive sandy beach of Mogador. Relax, sunbathe, and watch the watersports enthusiasts as they kite-surf and windsurf on the waves.

In the late afternoon, we will begin our comfortable return journey to Marrakesh, where your driver will drop you off at your accommodation, concluding a wonderful day trip.
